Does a nanny need business car insurance?
If you are self employed you will need your own motor insurance to drive. If you drive your employer's car you will need to be added as a named driver to their motor insurance policy.
Do I need Employers Liability insurance for a nanny?

Can a nanny's employer insure them?

What happens if my nanny does not have business car insurance?
If your nanny is self-employed, or not fully covered by your own insurance, you will need to ensure your nanny has car insurance to drive. If your nanny drives your vehicle then you will need to add them as a named driver to your motor insurance policy. Driving without the correct insurance is against the law.
