OOSA Launches Wraparound Survey in Partnership With Morton Michel

Over the years, the wraparound sector has become a vital, integral part of childcare provision. As well as offering a critical service to working parents, it vastly enhances the experience and opportunities for early years and school age children. Despite this however, it has tended to receive less attention from policy makers than either the traditional school or early years sector. The Out of School Alliance is working to change that, beginning with a groundbreaking survey of the industry, in partnership with Morton Michel.

The survey, which launched earlier this month is intended to paint a detailed picture of the sector as it stands today, encompassing key datapoints such as where businesses are located, their size and their registration status. It also looks at occupation rates, challenges, and how the sector sees the overall outlook moving forward. Once the results are analysed, it should provide key insights to help inform policymakers in government and ensure the wraparound sector is not left behind in major decisions.

However, this only works if there is enough data to work with, so if you run any form of wraparound provision, you can still fill in the survey yourself. Not only that, but you will be entered into a prize draw for a £50 Amazon voucher (terms and conditions apply). The survey will be open until 22nd December.
