Why is insurance important for nannies?

Children face (and create!) small risks every day. It’s important that nannies are insured, so that if anything does happen, they can feel protected.

It’s also an important consideration for a nanny agency to ensure that their nannies are adequately protected. As a reputable business, parents trust agencies to place professional nannies into their homes so they could also be brought into a dispute.

Morton Michel’s specialist nanny policy includes the following as standard:

  • injury to a child by a nanny during everyday activities such as a trip to the park, playing at home or caring for a child while they are poorly (up to £10m)
  • damage to parents and other people’s property (up to £1,000)
  • access to various helplines including counselling assistance to look after your nannies' wellbeing.
  • we also have a range of optional covers available such as Personal Accident, Business Equipment and Personal Possessions are available at an additional cost.

Please note: limits and exclusions apply. More details are available on the Morton Michel website.
