MotorMinder insurance cover is designed for those transporting children in their care. Morton Michel have developed a policy for PACEY members that offers a level of cover to specifically suit the needs of childcare providers.

As specialist insurance brokers, we understand that your childcare business means you could have additional requirements on your policy so our motor insurance includes childcare business use at no extra cost.
Cover is flexible and PACEY members can choose between Comprehensive and Third Party, Fire and Theft cover.

Personal Injury
Unlimited Liability for Personal Injury for all passengers.
Driver Policies
Any Driver policies for drivers over 21 years of age available (subject to insurer acceptance and Minibus only).
Multiple Options
Cover for cars, vans, minibuses and vehicles (minibuses/vehicles up to 17 seats).
Business Use
For Childminding offered on our MotorMinder policies for peace of mind.
Flexibility
Policies can be written in the company or an individual depending on the client needs (subject to insurance acceptance).
Legal Protection
Motor Legal Protection available.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are car seats automatically replaced after an accident?
Car seats may be covered under the MotorMinder policy in the event of an accident depending on the Insurer selected.
Would my childminded children’s possessions be covered by this motor policy too?
No. Childminded children’s possessions are not covered in the MotorMinder policy.
Will I get a courtesy car in the case of an accident?
Courtesy vehicles are subject to availability and only available after a valid claim under your insurance policy. Please note that the replacement vehicle is not likely to be an equivalent size / specification. Should you determine that an equivalent size / specification vehicle is essential, you would be responsible for sourcing the vehicle and the hire costs involved. In some instances, it may be possible for you to recover these costs from a negligent Third Party but you should speak with your claims handler to determine your options.
I’ll be transporting children as part of my job as a childminder. To what extent are they covered if there’s an accident?
The MotorMinder policy will cover your legal liability for the passengers, i.e. the children, in the event of an accident.
Can my childminding assistant drive the car on the same insurance?
Childminding assistants would need to be named drivers on the policy for cover to be valid.
